Gladys' Leap, Fairport Convention’s 14th studio album, was originally released in 1985 and is now reissued for its 40th anniversary with new notes. Recorded at Woodworm Studios, it marks founding member Richard Thompson’s first contributions since 1973. The album is named after Gladys Hillier, a postwoman known for leaping a brook on her route—a tribute reflecting the band’s connection to local stories.
