The Charlatans—Tim Burgess, Mark Collins, Martin Blunt, and Tony Rogers—release their twelfth album, Modern Nature, on BMG Chrysalis. Featuring 11 new tracks including singles “Talking In Tones” and “So Oh,” the album was produced by the band and Jim Spencer, mixed by Craig Silvey, and includes contributions from drummers Pete Salisbury, Stephen Morris, and Gabriel Gurnsey, plus backing vocals, strings, and brass.
Praised by Q as “one of the finest of their career” and The Guardian as “a triumph,” Modern Nature follows a tough year marked by the loss of drummer Jon Brookes, whose memory the band honours by continuing.
