Sarcasm continue to defy easy labels like “Swedeath” or melodic death metal, instead drawing from across the extreme metal spectrum while maintaining their ferocity.
Their sixth album, Lifeforce Omnibound, pushes the band further with eight tracks combining speed, intensity, technical riffing, and memorable songwriting. While opener “Essence of Existence” hits with direct force, the album largely embraces longer, more intricate compositions packed with atmosphere and detail.
Mixed and mastered by Lawrence Mackrory, the record also marks a lineup shift, with Anders stepping back from recording duties but remaining a live member. Vocalist Heval Bozarslan once again explores cosmic and metaphysical themes, giving the album an otherworldly edge throughout its 40-minute journey.
