Fate of Norns is the band’s fifth full‑length studio album, released on September 6, 2004, through Metal Blade Records. Building on the slower, heavier sound introduced on Versus the World, the album delivers eight tracks of melodic death metal inspired by Viking mythology and battle‑driven themes, including fan favourites like “The Pursuit of Vikings” and the title track. It was also issued in a limited digipak edition with a live bonus DVD, cementing Fate of Norns as a defining entry in Amon Amarth’s early catalog.
