Mythologies is Thomas Bangalter’s first independent orchestral work, originally composed for Angelin Preljocaj’s ballet and premiered by the Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine. The 90-minute score blends Baroque influences with American minimalism, using progressive variations on brief phrases. Reflecting a long collaboration, Mythologies showcases Bangalter’s fresh, boundary-crossing approach to composition.
