This double album set brings together Mick Harvey’s first two solo releases. One Man’s Treasure (2005) blends personal originals with handpicked covers from Lee Hazlewood, Tim Buckley, and Jeffrey Lee Pierce, recorded largely at home in an intimate, spontaneous style. Two of Diamonds (2007) follows with a fuller band sound, mixing Harvey’s own songs with obscure classics, including the standout track “Out of Time Man,” featured in Breaking Bad and Orphan Black. A compelling showcase of Harvey’s emotive, stripped-back songwriting and curation.
