The Endless Dance is the debut collaborative album from Hannah Peel and Beibei Wang, blending electronic textures with traditional and experimental percussion.
Inspired by the 24 solar terms of the Chinese calendar, the album merges ancient cultural ideas with playful, contemporary composition. Recorded over five days at Real World Studios, the music reflects the natural environment, drawing on seasonal changes and organic soundscapes.
Produced by Mike Lindsay (known for work with LUMP, Tunng, Guy Garvey, and Jon Hopkins), the record also features Hyelim Kim on the daegeum, adding distinctive tonal color.
Though both artists come from classical backgrounds and previously collaborated via Manchester Collective, this project pushes into freer, more exploratory territory. The result is an unpredictable, richly textured work shaped by storytelling, cultural exchange, and intuitive creativity—what Wang describes as “two women speaking different languages having a wonderful conversation.”
