X-Ray Spex’s sophomore and final studio album, Conscious Consumer, originally released in 1995 on CD only, is now available on LP for the first time, remastered from the original tapes with expanded artwork and lyrics. Reuniting Poly Styrene with original members Lora Logic and Paul Dean, plus Crispian Mills (as Red Spectre), the album blends the band’s punk urgency with a poppier, wiser edge reflecting Poly’s growth as a Krishna devotee.
