Hope, first released in 2003 as a response to the Iraq War, saw major artists unite for War Child to create an album of exclusive anti-war tracks in just three weeks. Highlights include George Michael’s moving cover of Don McLean’s The Grave, Paul McCartney’s alternate Calico Skies, and contributions from David Bowie, New Order, Basement Jaxx, Beverly Knight, and Yusuf / Cat Stevens. This reissue, featuring previously unused artwork, is part of War Child’s series of re-releases, with proceeds supporting children affected by conflict.
