Plastic Green Head shows Trouble exploring a more laid-back, stoner metal approach while staying authentically themselves. Opening with the thrashy title track, the album delivers vintage Trouble riffs, Eric Wagner’s distinctive vocals, and catchy, hard-hitting tracks like The Eye and Flowers. Highlights include a surprisingly strong cover of The Monkees’ The Porpoise Song and the grunge-tinged Opium Eater. While lighter and more upbeat than their early doom-heavy material, the album still contains memorable riffs and traces of the classic doom sound fans expect.
