Tricky’s groundbreaking 1995 debut Maxinquaye is reissued as Maxinquaye (Reincarnated) in triple-LP, single-LP, and double-CD formats. The single-LP features the original album remastered at Abbey Road, while the deluxe sets include six newly reworked “Reincarnated” versions from 2022, rare BBC session recordings from 1995, a live Glastonbury performance of “Black Steel,” and rough monitor mixes. All editions feature new artwork with a rare photo of Tricky and his late mother, after whom the album is named. With creative control, Tricky reimagined tracks for today, describing the project as a natural evolution rather than a simple reissue.
