This raw, intimate 1983 home studio recording captures Prince at his piano just before stardom, offering a rare glimpse into his creative process. The 35-minute, nine-track album features early versions of songs like 17 Days, Purple Rain, Strange Relationship, a cover of Joni Mitchell’s A Case of You, and the spiritual Mary Don’t You Weep, featured in Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman. Tracks 1-7 flow as spontaneous live medleys, similar to his later Piano and A Microphone Tour.
