Pia Isa is the solo project of Pia Isaksen, bassist and vocalist of Norwegian heavy psych/doom band Superlynx. Her debut album Distorted Chants features Ole Teigen on drums and guest guitarist Gary Arce on three tracks. Rooted in slow, heavy drones with dreamy, meditative tones, the album blends heavy psych, desert vibes, and Eastern scales, reflecting both her Nordic coastal surroundings and Superlynx’s minimalistic style, with haunting, chanting vocals.
