Originally formed as a side project during Phil Campbell’s final years with Motörhead, Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons emerged as a full-fledged band in 2016, debuting their name at Wacken Open Air. Joined by his sons Todd, Tyla, and Dane, Campbell quickly steered the band into the spotlight with a self-titled EP and a buzzworthy live presence. Their debut album, The Age of Absurdity (2018), earned critical acclaim and won Metal Hammer Germany’s ‘Best Debut Album’ award, firmly establishing them as a powerful force in modern rock ’n’ roll.
