After a five-year hiatus, Gazpacho return with Magic 8 Ball — eight new tracks exploring fate, identity, and change. Structured as short stories, each song follows a character at a breaking point, where choices and time strip away who they once were. Inspired by the Ship of Theseus paradox, the album asks: if you lose yourself piece by piece, do you remain the same?
The title reflects themes of randomness and inevitability — shaking for answers you already suspect, repeating endless cycles. Musically, it’s classic Gazpacho: atmospheric, layered, emotional, yet sharper and more focused than ever.
Mixed by Thomas Juth (a-ha, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Cat Stevens) and mastered by Hans Olsson, Magic 8 Ball continues Gazpacho’s tradition of cinematic, concept-driven prog rock. Revered for albums like Night (2007) and Demon (2014), the band remains one of the genre’s most inventive voices.
This CD digipak edition includes a 24-page booklet with lyrics and artwork by Antonio Seijas.
