Dry Cleaning will reissue their first two EPs, Boundary Road Snacks and Drinks and Sweet Princess, as a single remastered vinyl on 8 March 2024. Boundary Road Snacks and Drinks will also be released on cassette for the first time, including a bonus demo of “Strong Feelings.”
After a prolific run that included New Long Leg (2021), Stumpwork (2022), and the Swampy EP (2023), the band is taking a moment to revisit its origins. Formed in 2017, Dry Cleaning developed a sharp, minimalist sound influenced by the Feelies, the B52s, and Pylon.
They recorded Sweet Princess in a single day in March 2018, releasing it that August after their first show at the Shacklewell Arms. The follow-up, Boundary Road Snacks and Drinks, arrived two months later, named after their rehearsal space in Sidcup. With tracks like “Sit Down Meal” and “Viking Hair,” both EPs capture the band’s early raw energy and tight creative environment.
