Three years after their acclaimed Grateful End and last year's Psychedelic Scum Freaks reissue, Taipei’s psych-rock outfit Dope Purple return with a new album, This Is The Harsh Trip For New Psyche. Co-released by Riot Season and WV Sorcerer Productions, the album blends harsh noise with psych rock, delivering detailed, immersive sound across three vinyl variants and digital formats. Influenced by Japanese legends like High Rise and Les Rallizes Dénudés, the album shifts between spectral melancholy and chaos. It also features a collaboration with Taipei noise artist Berserk, known for post-apocalyptic soundscapes since 2015.
