Mathieu first collaborated with David Sylvian at Norway's 2011 Punkt festival, remixing Plight and Premonition. Impressed, Sylvian invited him to reinterpret material from his stark, cathartic 2003 album Blemish. The result, Wandermüde, offers a microscopic, real-time reimagining of Blemish’s raw beauty, transforming its minimal, open-ended structures into something newly introspective and sonically expansive.
