October 2023 marks the 50th anniversary of David Bowie’s Pin Ups, a classic covers album originally released in October 1973, just months after Aladdin Sane and the final Ziggy Stardust show. To celebrate, a limited edition 50th anniversary half-speed mastered LP is being released, cut from restored original tapes with no added processing. Recorded at Château d’Hérouville, Pin Ups pays tribute to 60s bands Bowie admired, including The Yardbirds, The Kinks, Pink Floyd, and The Who.
