Beak> is a Bristol-based trio formed in 2009 by Billy Fuller, Matt Williams, and Geoff Barrow (of Portishead). Known for their strict live-recording ethos—no overdubs or repairs—the band crafts experimental, improvisational music in single-take sessions. Drawing on each member's unique background in genres ranging from funk to avant-garde to trip-hop, Beak> creates raw, organic soundscapes shaped by spontaneity and collaboration.
