Barry Adamson returns in 2024 with Cut To Black, an album showcasing his signature genre-hopping style across pop, soul, jazz, hip hop, and gospel. Self-taught on bass, Adamson first gained attention with Magazine before establishing himself as a solo artist after three years with Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds. His debut solo album, Moss Side Story, set the template for cinematic, complex compositions. With nine studio albums to his name, including the Mercury-nominated Soul Murder, Adamson continues to tour globally and influence new generations. In 2018, Memento Mori celebrated 40 years of his career, followed by his memoir Up Above The City, Down Beneath The Stars in 2021.
