Prospect Hummer captures Animal Collective’s final foray into acoustic freak-folk, featuring Vashti Bunyan’s delicate vocals on three of the four tracks. The collaboration originated during a 2003 UK tour with Four Tet, where the band met Vashti and, inspired by her 1970 classic Just Another Diamond Day, invited her to contribute, resulting in a set of beautifully intimate songs.
