Ride guitarist and singer Andy Bell’s debut solo album The View From Halfway Down was written and recorded over four years and completed during lockdown. Blending summery psych-pop, looping grooves, and textured soundscapes, it bridges Ride’s shoegaze with Bell’s electronic project GLOK. Influences range from The Stone Roses and The Byrds to Neu! and The Beta Band.
