Σtella Chronopoulou’s fifth album, Adagio, marks her first time singing in Greek, inspired during a reflective boat ride in 2019. Rooted in nostalgia for her slower childhood in rural Athens, the album blends warm pop with nylon-string guitars and light percussion, creating a soothing 27-minute meditation on love, desire, rest, and time. Featuring collaborators like Rafael Cohen and Gabriel Stebbing, Adagio includes her first two Greek songs—original “Omorfo Mou” and a cover of 1969’s Ta Vimata. More relaxed and assured than ever, Σtella delivers tender, intimate tracks that offer a comforting pause in a fast-paced world.
