Hey all,
RSD is nearly upon us so it’s time for a rundown of how we’ll be running things on the day.
The centre will be opening up at 4am for any early birds to escape the cold in the upstairs cafe area – there’s ample seating up there and we’ll also be ticketing this for queue integrity. If you're planning to arrive earlier than that then please queue at the front main entrance (nearest the bus station) until opening time.
A breakfast menu will be available from 6am, and we can start selling from 8am.
As usual, our friendly doorman Giles will be manning the door, and Grim Reaper Dave will be updating the queue of any sold out titles
Here are some FAQs to help make your RSD experience as smooth as possible.
What time should I arrive?
We wish we could tell you but unfortunately this is impossible for us to call! We list the items we're planning to stock on the site, but we can’t tell you how many people will also be after it on the day.
Do you take preorders?
Unfortunately not. It’s strictly first come, first served on the day.
If I can’t see a title on the list, will you be stocking it?
No, everything we’ll be stocking for RSD will be shown on our website or on our handy printout lists in-store. However you’re more than welcome to ask us for something and we can look at ordering it in! The vast majority of releases are usually all gone by time RSD comes around but occasionally our suppliers can still have stock left over of some titles. The list of titles we're planning to stock is on our website, but this can occasionally be changed due to lost parcels, damages etc. Also bear in mind that the UK and US lists vary and stuff available in the States isn't necessarily going to be available here
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept both cash and card! You’re also welcome to use any Eclipse vouchers you may have as well.
How many of XXX are you getting in? Will you sell out of anything on the day?
We can give you a rough idea quantities, but unfortunately we’re unable to call how popular a certain title will be on the day! It's a case that some items will only be available in very limited quantities, but we have always taken a wide range of titles and we've secured some cool allocations on key titles
Am I able to buy more than one copy of something?
No, all titles are limited to one copy per person. You’re welcome to buy as many different titles as you’d like (in fact, we actively encourage this!) but only one of each.
When does the RSD stock go online?
Any remaining RSD stock will be available online from 8pm on Monday 14th April. We'll be opening Monday 14th (we're usually closed) for a chance to pick up any remaining stock prior to online sales
