Shine is the 2007 album by Joni Mitchell. When released, it was the the singer-songwriter's first album of new songs in nine years, after 1998's Taming the Tiger. The album has a minimal feel, a sparseness that harks back to her early work and it also feels like the return of Joni the storyteller. Shine includes nine songs as well as a new version of mitchell's evergreen, Big Yellow Taxi.
